The Whitechapel Estate
Public garden
Located in the heart of Whitechapel, East London this landscape proposal is part of a large mixed use development incorporating extensive publicly accessible gardens. A linear park will form part of a 'green spine' providing pedestrian access from Whitechapel High Street to Commercial Street, part of the Whitechapel Vision plan. A courtyard to the east of the linear park will include children's play elements, lawn, specimen trees and woodland planting. An existing mews is to be renovated with a pedestrian route connecting the Philpot Street linear park with Turner Street to the west.
The project is in the planning stages.
The designs were produced by Tom Stuart-Smith Ltd while Andy worked with the practice, Andy's role was the lead landscape architect.
